RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Research and development forms an important facet of CyberThinc operations, allowing the group to not only keep abreast of the latest technology developments, but to play a part in creating them. The research and development is currently focussed around 3 key areas:

MOBILE DEVICES

CyberThinc is currently developing a number of projects including developing and testing hardware solutions with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, for applications ranging from Wireless LANS, Personal Area Networks through to Mesh networks.

HOME AUTOMATION

Areas of research are mainly centred on the use of X-10 operation with both Windows and Linux, as well as Home Automation, Home Information and Home Entertainment systems using a custom solution of touch sensitive LCD displays coupled to house PC server computers.

SMARTCARD SYSTEMS

CyberThinc is a smartcard systems integrator. In addition to the common smart card form factor, research into iButtons/JavaRing form factors is undertaken.
